UMPG announced details of a world-wide publishing agreement with international breakthrough artist B.o.B, as well as an exclusive world-wide publishing deal with Alex da Kid – co-writer and producer of B.o.B’s current break out hit “Airplanes” featuring Eminem and co-writer/producer of the new Eminem song “Love the Way You Lie” feat. Rihanna.
Stone Temple Pilots UMPG has signed a world-wide publishing deal with front-man Scott Weiland and renewed/extended their exclusive, publishing administration agreement with Stone Temple Pilots’ brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion). The publishing deal encompasses the band’s entire catalogue, including their self-titled, sixth-studio album which hits stores on May 25th. “We are so excited about working closely with David Renzer, Tom Sturges, and the entire Universal Music Publishing Group,” said Dana Dufine, management.
The Killers UMPG is delighted to announce the extension of its worldwide deal with The Killers. Originally signed to the company in 2004, the band have gone on to achieve critical acclaim and spectacular global success, selling in excess of 13 million albums. The Killers were honored with the prestigious Vanguard award the 27th ASCAP Pop Awards in April. As well as future band output, the extended deal also covers solo projects from the band members. Robert Reynolds, the band’s manager, said "I have nothing but good things to say about the people at Universal Music Publishing. We've worked with them since the beginning. They've been great and we are happy to continue the relationship."
New Signing: Andrew Lloyd Webber Universal Music Group and Andrew Lloyd Webber have signed long-term, global recording and music publishing agreements which renew and expand a long-standing partnership between the world’s leading music company and the most successful composer of our time.
Under these new arrangements with Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group, Universal Music Group will exclusively distribute and market the composer’s recorded music catalogue in digital and physical formats, and Universal Music Publishing Group will administer and exploit Really Useful’s extensive music publishing interests, including their representation for film, TV, advertising and other mediums.
New Signing: Justin Bieber The world-wide publishing deal encompasses all of Bieber's catalogue, including his debut album My World (Island) and his upcoming album My World (Part II), due in March. New Signing: Kenny Loggins UMPG has recently signed a world-wide (excluding the United States and Canada) publishing agreement with singer/songwriter Kenny Loggins. Loggins' No. 1 hit single "Footloose" received high popularity from Footloose the motion picture and was recognized in the American Film Institute's 100 Years...100 Songs list. "Footloose" was also nominated for an Academy Award in 1984 for Best Original Song. A musical remake of the film is scheduled to begin production in March. Kenny Loggins was previously signed to Sony/ATV.
