Jessie Ware releases sophomore album 'Tough Love'

Jessie Ware returns with her sophomore album ‘Tough Love’, released through Island Records this week. Featuring the title track ‘Tough Love’ - written last May, “after a really gruelling period of shows” - the record draws on the suave, svelte palette of synths and bass heard on Jessie’s debut LP ‘Devotion’, combining this with elevated choruses and lush arrangements.

2013 BRIT Award Nominations

Songwriters and artists signed to Universal Music Publishing received an impressive twenty four nominations for the 2013 BRIT Awards, with Mumford & Sons receiving a trio of nominations, Best Group, Best Album for ‘Babel’ and Best Live Act. Paloma Faith, Coldplay, Jessie Ware, Olly Murs and Plan B each received two nominations. There are also nominations for The xx, Richard Hawley and The Vaccines.

MOBO nominations 2012

The shortlist for the MOBO awards 2012 has been announced, with Universal Music Publishing artists Plan B, Jessie Ware, Wretch 32, Angel, Conor Maynard and Alunageorge all in the running for an award. Plan B has been shortlisted in a total of five categories, including Best Male, Best Song, Best Album for ‘Ill Manors’, Best Hip-Hop/Grime Act and Best Video. UMPG Mercury Prize Nominations 2012

The Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize nominations for 2012 have been announced, with Universal Music Publishing artists Jessie Ware, Plan B and Richard Hawley featured on the shortlist. Previous UMPG artists to have won the Mercury Prize include The xx for ‘xx’ (2009), Klaxons for ‘Myths of the Near Future’ (2007) and Franz Ferdinand for ‘Franz Ferdinand (2004)’. The 2012 winner will be announced on Thursday 1st November.

Jessie Ware signs to UMPG
