Rodaidh McDonald

Scottish record producer Rodaidh McDonald has worked alongside XL Recordings since 2008. McDonald designed and began studio managing XL’s in-house studio the same year and the following year, 2009, he recorded and mixed The xx’s Mercury Prize winning self-titled debut which has gone on to huge worldwide success. 

Since this time working both independently and within the XL label McDonald has contributed production and mixing to some of the world’s most exciting contemporary recording artists including The xx, The Horrors, Sampha, Bobby Womack, Daughter, Vampire Weekend, Denai Moore, How To Dress Well, King Krule, Gil Scott Heron, Adele, and many others.
