UMPG singer songwriter Harry Styles is celebrating his self-titled debut album charting at No. 1 in its first week. 

At the 62nd Ivor Novello awards, Universal Music Publishing Group artists and writers took home eight awards across a range of major categories. Florence Welch, Nitin Sawhney, Pulp, Gary Numan, Bill Withers, Laura Mvula, Coldplay and Josh Homme have all been honoured for their exceptional songwriting achievements.

On May 10, Pearl Jam and Hal Leonard will release Pearl Jam Anthology – The Complete Scores. This deluxe, hardcover book with a custom protective box provides 130 scores of every song from the Pearl Jam albums Ten through Lightning Bolt.

Artists and writers signed to Universal Music Publishing have received 6 nominations for the 62nd Ivor Novello awards. Coldplay, Laura Mvula, Adele, Tobias Jesso Jr and Josh Homme are amongst the artists and writers in the running.

UMPG has 25 artists nominated for awards at the forthcoming Billboard Music Awards, including Adele, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Shawn Mendes, who are all nominated for the prestigious Top Artist Award! The award show will take place on Sunday May 21st at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UMPG’s A&R and film/TV and advertising creative teams were a force on the ground this year in Austin, Texas at SXSW 2017,  one the world’s largest and most important festivals and music conferences. All week our team was busy supporting and meeting with UMPG artists, while they showcased their talents and new music to global industry VIPs.

Coldplay announced a new EP due out on June 2, which will feature their current trending single with The Chainsmokers, “Something Just Like This.”  This week band also revealed a new song, “Hypnotised,” which shot to No.1 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending chart. The accompanying lyric video has already garnered 4 Million Views on YouTube.
