Universal Music Publishing Group was named Publisher of the Year at the BMI Pop Awards in Los Angeles, with the company representing 28 of the 50 most-performed songs of the past year.
Taylor Swift was honored as Songwriter of the Year, a recognition that further solidifies her legacy as one of the greatest songwriters of our time. She was recognized for a remarkable seven of the Top 50 most performed songs, including “Don’t Blame Me,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart,” “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don't Talk,” and “Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?”
UMPG songwriter Marco “Infamous” Rodriguez, received Song of the Year honors for his contributions to “Lose Control,” as performed by Teddy Swims.
