Collarbones Are Back With New Single & Video For 'A.I'
Collarbones are back to debut their new sound with single and video for 'A.I'. Into their 11th year of collaboration since meeting on a post-rock online message board, Marcus Whale and Travis Cook have since released three albums of sinewy electronic pop including Iconography (2011), Die Young (2012) and Return (2014). Now, with a new release, the future looks even brighter for the duo.
The band has toured the country with their live shows and are known for their appearance at Flume's Vivid Live headline slot at the Sydney Opera House as well as FYF Fest in Los Angeles. Flume, also remixed Collarbones' single 'Turning' in 2015, following up the performance with Whale at '10 Years Of Future Classic' at the Sydney Opera House. Since, the track has collected more than 14 million streams.
'A.I' uniquely and seamlessly blends the passion of a power ballad with the essence of club-ready beats, forming a new and signature sound. The video, accompanies the song with ease as it displays an vulnerable yet passionate Marcus Whale as he eases into vocal with cuts of striking choreography mixed with moments of simple reflection.
