Emilio Mercuri Releases Debut Single 'House Of The Holy Maids'
Emilio Mercuri, ex Redcoats frontman, has today released his solo debut single ‘House of the Holy Maids’. Recorded in Arcade Fire's Montreal Studio, with Grammy award winning Producer Mark Lawson, the single allows an insight into Mercuri's new direction after the end of a near decade long chapter as lead vocalist of the Australian rock band.
Currently on a short visit back to Australia before making his way to America in April, Mercuri has been living in Europe for the past three years, writing and recording in preparation for a string of releases throughout 2018.
The single artwork, titled 'Lady Grape', was painted by Elvis Barlow-Smith and was part of a series painted in Barcelona in 2016. The duo paired the two pieces together whilst staying with one another that Summer.
Coinciding the release, the visuals for the first music video are part of a collection created by filmmaker Ribal Hosn. The footage is developed from a surreal foundation and was all made in camera, without the aid of post-production effects.
