Universal Music Publishing Australia has signed Sydney-based artist, producer and songwriter Elizabeth Rose to an exclusive, worldwide publishing agreement.
“It takes one listen to The Elizabeth Rose EP to instantly recognise the extent of Elizabeth’s songwriting ability- her songs are memorable, inventive and honest. We are very much looking forward to opening up our global network of creative staff, collaborators and opportunities to Elizabeth,” said Heath Johns, Director of A&R, Universal Music Publishing Australia.
In 2013 Elizabeth Rose was named as part of Triple J’s prestigious ‘Next Crop’ and went on to win the QANTAS SOYA Music Award. 2014 is showing no sign of the momentum slowing for Rose after she took home the ‘Next Big Thing’ gong at January’s FBI SMAC Awards.
"I'm very excited to be joining the Universal Music Publishing family, I have a lot of big goals for my career as a writer and producer and I'm thrilled at the prospect of reaching them quicker with the Universal team representing me now. 2014 is going to be a busy year for me, I can't wait!" said Elizabeth Rose.
Elizabeth Rose’s self-titled EP has just been released and already the lead single "The Good Life" has attracted significant international blog attention as it also recently became the most played song on Alternative radio in Australia and stayed in the Top 5 for a month. The 90’s R&B infused second single "Sensitivity" has also just been added to rotation on Triple J. Elizabeth will devote 2014 to international touring and songwriting while she prepares her eagerly awaited debut album.
