Congratulations to Shihad after their scorching 9th studio album ‘FVEY’ debuted at #1 on the NZ Charts today. The chart position marks the 5th time Shihad have landed at the summit of the chart making them the only NZ band in history to have five #1 albums and the only NZ artist in history to have five albums debut in the #1 position.
Recorded in December last year at Auckland’s legendary York Street Studio with Killing Joke frontman Jaz Coleman, FVEY is a progressive and brutal rock record that is more than just vintage Shihad, it’s an album that further illustrates that even after 25 years Shihad are a band that is hell bent on sonic evolution.
