A true rock'n'roll legend, Deniz Tek is celebrating the release of his new album Detroit - a homage to the city that fueled his incredible music career.

Growing up in Ann Arbor just down the road from the Motor City, Deniz's passion for blistering rock'n'roll was fueled by local Detroit bands such as Iggy And The Stooges and MC5. It is this passion that is still bearing fruit today but these days it is Deniz himself providing inspiration and influence for a long list of upcoming musicians here and internationally.

Detroit buzzes with a bristling guitar rock that Tek uses to explore a town long past its glory days. It’s an album with swagger, blues and soul, arresting Tek branded riffs, stark emotional vocals and lyric themes that speak equally of death and decline, power and hope, of reflecting and overcoming.

Later this month Tek will be touring the album to the US playing Bowery Electric in NYC on Thursday 30 May. All our Big Apple friends are invited.

Deniz is also currently compiling & mastering an audio and visual history of Radio Birdman (the iconic ARIA Award winning band he founded who celebrate their 40th anniversary next year).
