UMPG sign Jonti Danilewitz

Universal Music Publishing has signed globe-trotting, artist/producer Jonti Danilewitz to an exclusive, worldwide music publishing agreement.

“Jonti has established a global reputation as one of Australia’s most innovative and adventurous songwriters. His CV to date is as diverse as it is impressive and I believe that it is just the beginning for Jonti. We look forward to facilitating a range of exciting new projects for Jonti to sink his teeth into,” said Heath Johns, Director of A&R.

“The opportunity to work with a group like UMPG is one that I could not turn down, there are so many opportunities that will open up and allow me to explore a different side of my songwriting and production. I'm really excited to wrap up my touring for the year, get in the studio again and start working on these new projects and can't wait to see what comes of it,” said Jonti Danilewitz.

South African born, the cosmopolitan Danilewitz is Australian-based but spends much of his time in Los Angeles where he is signed to iconic independent hip hop label Stones Throw (Madlib, MF Doom).

Following the release of 2011’s critically acclaimed album Twirligig, Jonti has been collaborating with the likes of The Avalanches and Odd Future’s Hodgy Beats. Prior to that Jonti has written and collaborated with Mark Ronson, Albert Hammond Jr and Santigold. Jonti was recently a special guest on fellow Australian Gotye’s North American and European tours.

Jonti joins a Universal Music Publishing Group- Australia roster that includes 360, The Living End, Wolfmother, Redcoats, Powderfinger, The Aston Shuffle, The Veronicas, Passenger, Snob Scrilla, Bag Raiders, The Butterfly Effect, Last Dinosaurs, Jet, Children Collide, Guy Sebastian, Dead Letter Circus, The Potbelleez, Jessica Mauboy and many more.
