Paul Mac commissioned for Bangarra's "OUR land people stories"

UMP writer/producer/DJ superstar Paul Mac has composed music for one of the three contemporary dance works which comprise the new Bangarra Dance Theatre production OUR land people stories.

Paul Mac was commissioned by the company to compose for the “Miyagan” dance, a story of two men mapping their cultural heritage in the Wiradjuri country in New South Wales, collaborating on two of the songs in the piece with Indigenous educator, Diane Riley-McNaboe.

OUR land people stories premieres at the Sydney Opera House on the 16th of June, and the program will tour across the country, finishing in Melbourne on the 10th of September, 2016.

This work just adds to the already impressive and long list of collaborations and compositions for Paul Mac, including his stunning album from 2015, Holiday From Me, featuring artists such as Megan Washington, Ngaiire and Brendan Maclean.
