Timmy Trumpet’s EDM smash hit “Freaks,” has been licensed in the trailer for the upcoming action/comedy trailer, American Ultra starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. 

Mike Howell (Eisenberg) is an un-assuming convenience store clerk living a small town existence with his girlfriend (Stewart) when his world flips upside-down, cue “Freaks”, as he becomes the center of a government operation to take him down. 

Scheduled for release in August, the film’s trailer hit screens across the globe at the end of May.

The sync-perfect track for the action trailer, the “Freaks” instrumental was co-written with Timmy Trumpet by fellow UMP writer Mat Valton alongside Ivan Gough. It has seen incredible success both locally and internationally having gone platinum several times over in the ARIA and NZ charts and dominated the European charts with the version featuring New Zealand hip hop legend, Savage.
