UMP sweet for That Sugar Film

Controversial expose’ style film content requires an equally thrilling and OTT musical accompaniment. UMP worked closely with this film’s music supervisor to secure three outstanding tracks from three assorted decades for inclusion in the much talked about feature length documentary “That Sugar Film.”  Calvin Harris’ remix of Florence and the Machine’s – Spectrum, a brand new recording of Lee Hazlewood’s saccharine sweet – Sugar Town – by the doco’s composer Jojo Petrina and candy coloured spandex trailblazers Sigue Sigue Sputnik’ – Love Missile F1-11. This diverse selection from a broad musical palette all feature in the film set for release in March 2015.

Australian actor and filmmaker, Damon Gameau risks his own health by personally investigating the consequences of a high sugar diet.  For 60 days the director ingested an average of 40 teaspoons of hidden sugar each day with a team of health professionals monitoring his progress.  The result was not pretty and the outcome, shocking.

The documentary is sugar coated by comic interludes provided by a wealth of local and international celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Jamie Oliver and Hugh Jackman, fun and vibrant animations, dances and a musical parody, hence an equally awesome soundtrack of obscure and wonderful hits was important to the filmmaker.
