All Blacks turned Men In Black in new Air NZ in-flight safety video

All Blacks turned Men In Black in new Air NZ in-flight safety video

Air NZ has teamed up with the All Blacks New Zealand Rugby Team once again for another hilarious in-flight safety video, this time inspired by the 90’s classic intergalactic alien-comedy “Men In Black” and set to the tune of the infamous soundtrack hit of the same name, co-written and performed by UMP writer Will Smith.

The “Men in Black Safety Defenders” video was created in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment and truly grasps the original aesthetics of the MIB world including the MIB Head Quarters and CGI aliens, while taking Air NZ passengers through the ins and outs of aircraft safety procedures with the help of a few cheeky lyric changes to the track.

The spot features an all-star line-up of All Blacks players with Israel Dagg showing his rapping prowess joining NZ hip hop star Stan Walker on lead vocals, plus some sneaky cameos of international rugby legends including former English Captain, Martin Johnson. To further add to the continuity with the film, the video also stars some original cast members, with American actor Rip Torn reprising his role as the Chief of the MIB and Frank the Pug throwing in some typical comedic flare.

The entertaining and innovative safety video will be available for passengers on Air NZ flights for the next year, and also online including social media.
