Need For Speed gets faster with 'Zoom'

It would be hard to pick a more aptly named song title than 'Zoom' for use in the popular video game franchise 'Need For Speed'.

So it shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise when UMP’s Last Dinosaurs track 'Zoom' was picked up for synch in the US on the latest Need For Speed release, Most Wanted 2.  The infectiously catchy and upbeat song is in good company on the soundtrack joining other UMPG Aust writers Pete Townshend of The Who, Dizzee Rascal and The Chemical Brothers.

The inclusion of 'Zoom' coincides with Last Dinosaurs' launch into the global music landscape, with the song being well received in the UK where it was made iTunes single of the week, resulting in a total of 53,000 downloads over the 7 day period. A US release is now imminent.

The 'Need For Speed' series is the most successful racing video game franchise in the World. Which puts it amongst the overall most popular video game franchises of all time! Last Dinosaurs have also been used in Aust TV series, Bondi Rescue and Slide where they were featured performing at a pop up gig in a Laundromat! Most recently Zoom and Honolulu have been used in Eps 6 & 7 of Series 4 of UK TV programme, Made In Chelsea.

Last Dinosaurs have just wrapped up a European tour and are currently in the middle of a run of shows here in Australia.  Extra shows were added in both continents due to demand.  This band are primed to emulate their Australian success Internationally.
