Spit Syndicate

Sydney duo Spit Syndicate are one of Australia’s most exciting, forward-thinking hip hop acts.

After meeting in high school, Nick Lupi and Jimmy Nice decided to form a rap group, quickly building a reputation around Sydney as ones to watch. Barely out of their teens, they released their debut album ‘Towards the Light’ in 2008, which was nominated for an ARIA award.

Their 2013 breakout album ‘Sunday Gentlemen’ featured the singles ‘Beauty in the Bricks’, ‘Folly’ and ‘Amazing’, with each enjoying months of high rotation on triple j and launching several national tours and sell-out shows across Australia.

Spit Syndicate’s recent and most definitive album ‘One Good Shirt Had Us All Fly’ has been lauded by critics as their strongest work to date, featuring the singles ‘Know Better’, ‘Inhibitions’ and ‘Hold On Me’. Spit Syndicate are renowned for their explosive live show, which has seen them perform at music festivals and sold out headline shows across Australia.

As part of collective One Day, alongside high-school friends Horrorshow, Joyride and Jackie Onassis, they released one of 2014’s biggest albums ‘Mainline’, which debuted at no. 2 on the ARIA charts and featured the singles ‘Love Me Less’, ‘Leave Your Windows Open’ and ‘SDRO’. The crew’s One Day Sundays event series has been a runaway success, with regular parties across Australia cementing One Day’s reputation as Australia’s premiere hip hop party collective.
