Maribelle

At just 21-years old, Maribelle has proven herself to be a formidable talent in the world of electronic pop. As a singer, songwriter and producer, Maribelle creates music that shares the moody and seductive sensibilities of Kelela and Nao. With these strengths at her disposal, it’s no surprise that 2017 has been a breakout year for Maribelle.

Maribelle gained momentum through a string of collaborations, most notably featuring alongside Australian duo Carmada for “On Fire,” which landed with a bang on Skrillex’s OWSLA label. Charli XCX showed her love for the collab by performing it with Carmada on Triple J’s ‘Like a Version’. “On Fire” circled into popularity on Triple J rotation, and later saw Maribelle resurface the airwaves with Young Franco’s “Miss You” being added to commercial radio rotation.

Not only is Maribelle the creative behind her own artist project, she has already clocked-up an extensive back catalogue of writing credits with some of Australia’s best producers and artists. Maribelle’s self-written debut EP ‘Overtake’ saw her collaborate with producer Djemba Djemba (Kehlani - “Gangsta”, Sia - “Elastic Heart”), and other notable Australian producers, Styalz Fuego (Peking Duk - “Stranger”, 360 - “Boys Like You”) and Nic Martin (Horrorshow, Seth Sentry).

2016 saw a big year of live shows for Maribelle, supporting GoldLink on his sold out Laneway Festival sideshows, and Kaytranada on his sold out national headline tour.
Maribelle started 2017 with her festival debut at FOMO alongside Metro Boomin, Desiigner, GoldLink, Peking Duk and Empire of the Sun. She is set to support Illy on his national tour this March alongside Paces and Spit Syndicate.

With her EP ‘Overtake’ making a bold statement on both Triple J and commercial radio and a solid list of live shows and writing achievements under her belt, Maribelle is looking to her next move. Her triple threat of talents sees her writing, performing and flexing her entrepreneurial prowess as the head of Crush Club, a label dedicated to showcasing the new class of electronic pop talent.
