Australian songwriters and producers Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis are some of the most in-demand young talents in music thanks to their work on Robbie Williams’ 2012 chart-topping album Take the Crown. The gifted duo’s knack for crafting indelible pop and rock songs landed them eight cuts on the album, which has become an international hit since its release. Take the Crown has sold over a million copies worldwide and has risen to No. 1 in seven different countries, including the UK, Germany, and Ireland.
Though the numbers speak for themselves, Robbie Williams was also quick to offer his praise, making it clear just how indispensable Metcalfe and Francis were to the success of Take the Crown: “How fortunate for me that Tim and Flynn came into my life… as vital and as good as any writers I've worked with. I look forward to watching their careers going from strength to strength… I love the little bastards.''
Metcalfe and Francis haven’t slowed down at all since working with Williams – in addition to their songwriting and production collaborations with others, the pair is also fostering a burgeoning career as artists in their own right.
