Universal Music Publishing Group and Disney Music Group expand relationship
New Administration Deal Adds Representation in European Continent, U.K., Ireland, Israel and various territories in Africa and the Caribbean
SANTA MONICA – January 16, 2018 – Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), a leading global music publisher, and Disney Music Publishing (DMP), the music publishing arm of The Disney Music Group (DMG), today announced a new agreement that expands the territories in which UMPG will administer DMP’s catalogues to include the United Kingdom, Ireland, continental Europe, as well as Israel and countries in Africa and the Caribbean.
The agreement, effective January 1, 2018, significantly builds upon the companies’ existing global relationship. UMPG currently administers DMP’s music publishing catalogues in South East Asia, and many territories in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
