About Joel Diamond
A 30-year industry veteran, multi-platinum producer/songwriter Joel Diamond has produced and/or co-written over 36 gold and platinum recordings, plus movie soundtracks and television themes, and has been a recording artist himself on five different labels. His career has included everything from record production and song writing to heading up the music publishing companies for both Mercury (at which time his second in command was Tommy Mottola) and CBS/Sony Records, serving in executive and creative capacities. During his career, he has also worked closely with such music icons as: James Taylor, Laura Nyro, Harry Nilson, Van Morrison, The Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow, and David Bowie, Dr. Hook, among others.

In early 2003, Universal Music Publishing Group signed an exclusive agreement to administer the publishing interests of JOEL DIAMOND and his SILVER BLUE and OCEANS BLUE MUSIC PUBLISHING companies. This is the first time, since its inception, that Diamond has entered into a worldwide administration deal.

Through the deal, UMPG will administer more than 300 titles, including five Top 10 copyrights, and nearly 100 charted Billboard recordings. Diamond's productions have included No. 1 records such as "After The Lovin'" and "This Moment In Time" by Engelbert Humperdinck; "We've Gotta Get It On Again" by The Addrisi Brothers; "I Am What I Am" by Gloria Gaynor; "One Night In Bangkok" by Robey; "Into The Night," by Benny Mardones, David Hasselhoff's multi platinum albums in Germany, and many more charted recordings by such artists as Phoebe Cates, Helen Reddy, Al Martino, Sister Sledge, Laura Branigan, Eddie Arnold, etc.

His most recent successes include writing and producing for young teenage artists Kaci (selling over 2 million units in the UK for Curb Records), Vaneza (EMI Latin), and Katie Cassidy (Artemis).

His current projects range from concept albums for Tony Orlando, Julie Budd, and legendary Ike Turner to major label deals, soon to be announced, for the 17 year old Millen Twins and 24 year old pop/R&B singer, Bashirrah.
