Kane Brown Makes Country Music History

Kane Brown Makes Country Music History Posted by Universal Music Publishing on 17 October 2017

Kane Brown is the first artist to reign at the top of all five Billboard main country charts at the same time.

As of October 16th, Kane Brown’s “What Ifs” leads Billboard’s Top Country Albums, Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Country Streaming Songs, and Country Digital Song Sales. When “What Ifs” took over the number one spot on the Hot Country Songs chart it replaced Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” which dominated the chart for a record breaking 34 weeks. Billboard’s Hot County Songs chart blends airplay, streaming, and sales data.

Brown has yet another reason to celebrate with the release of his self-titled deluxe album featuring four new songs. Since its release on October 6th, Kane Brown Deluxe Edition has already sold 26,000 units in pure album sales and is also in the top five on Billboard’s 200 chart which includes all music genres.

“What Ifs,” featuring Brown’s childhood friend Lauren Alaina, was cowritten by Brown, along with Jordan Schmidt and Matt McGinn.
