Last week Australia saw Sydney-band Gang Of Youths take out their first #1 album on the ARIA chart with their second album ‘Go Farther In Lightness’, making them the seventh Australian act to do in 2017.
The sophomore album, engineered and co-produced by long-time collaborator Adrian Breakspear and mixed by Peter Katis (The National, Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs) came two years after their debut album ‘The Positions’ which peaked at #5 on the chart, and a year after their 6-track EP, ‘Let Me Be Clear’ which made it to #2. Needless to say, this is a massive achievement for the band and their teams. A huge congratulations to Gang Of Youths from the entire UMPG family.
The band is kicking off their national tour tomorrow playing their biggest venues to date,
with two back to back sold out Brisbane shows, followed by an October UK/EU tour!
